When i first heard this song i was away with my dad on a trip. So as we were in our hotel, i was looking for new stuff and this one came on. My dad is a huge fan of classic rock, country, anything that consists of a guitar and vocals. So he was all of this one. I'm not sure how many of you know this, but John Denver was a country artist in the 70's, who unfortunately died in 1997. My dad was a fan. I got this song before i went away for the past few days and i really wish i was able to post it earlier. Its all i listened too. I know nothing about this artist, not sure if hes big or not. But hopefully this style of music will pick up and develop into something big. It may take getting used to, i know, but once you get into it you'll thrive. So, you may not be an OddFuture fan eh? Well then i have advice for you. Either skip this post and never look at it. Or, take a look, take time to check them out and give them a chance. I had too, believe me. I never liked these guys for the longest time, i thought they had nothing good to rap about. But i gave them a listen and payed attention to what they're saying and then i understood. For sure they're different, no doubt. But when you really pay attention to what they say you start to understand the rap and you learn more about them. That's personally why i like it so much, its just a personal thing. Needless to say, everyday they're getting bigger. Tyler is on some tracks with some bigger artists, Earl is almost free...and all the rest of them are at a crack house somewhere.
Anyways, take a look at this playlist we put together. Some will argue about the songs i put on, i know. But i based this list around the songs i listen to everyday. I also excluded the ones where Tyler is either yelling 90% of the time or just the bad ones. There's a few. Take a lesson though, see what these guys have to offer. I'm lovin it.

Now some will find this song boring and slow, those people are not fans of progressive house, or just the mau5 in general. This song is all Deadmau5. I came across James Egbert a few weeks ago when i was looking for new shit. I initially skipped over him because he was a name i didn't recognize so i put him off to the side. Yesterday night, i was looking for music again, this time a bit more careful with what i check out. I found this new track by James called "Lady Luck" which is a sick song. It reminds me of a Van O song or a DJ Kue song, no clue why. Also, while looking for music i found two other songs he's in. Ones a remix and ones an original. The two originals (Isle Of Capri and Lady Luck) sound somewhat similar to each other, much different than "Kaptain Kyle." For our early viewers, you may remember one of the first Deadmau5 posts where i posted remixes to "Raise Your Weapon." One remix was done by 17 year old, Madeon who is a prodigy of Mau5. Along with picking up techniques and tricks from Deadmau5, he also seemed to pick up some equipment. Now i used to be all into the gear side of music, so it interests me that this young (17 year old) producer is using this controller. Deadmau5 uses a "one of a kind" 16x16 Monome trigger pad that was brought over to him from Monome in Germany. Madeon, as you can see is using a controller half the size, 8x8. It's just weird how such a young artist would have that advanced gear so early in the game. Damn. Anyways this is a really sick video check it out!

I was excited to hear this one because hate me for it or love me for it, i do like Coldplay's music. I think Chris Martin has dirty vocals and i like what the band does. I haven't been into much of their stuff lately, just because i haven't been looking or really that interested. This song represents both Coldplay and SHM very well. A nice easy, laid back house track for once. Nothing huge and intense, just a good house song. I like when you hear the Pete Tong tag at @1:12, lol i thrive. When i first saw this song, i expected it to be some intense UK, typical Nero style. But i was wrong. The vocals right at the beginning gave away that it was going to be a classic Calvin Harris song. Kaskade is a name that i have been seeing more and more over the past few months. Crazy dubstep. I connected his name to Kascada and i was turned off but once i gave it a listen i was loving it. Like normal, he teamed up with another artist. This time being Adam K. The original is pretty sweet and much different from the remix. Mac Miller drops another sweet track in honour of reaching 600,000 followers on his Twitter. He released this for his fans in appreciation of where they have brought him in the last 6 or 7 months. Not to mention, Mac Miller is preforming tonight at KoolHaus in Toronto. Its official. Tiesto IS launching his Club Life College Invasion Tour. I heard about this one a while back but i`m pretty sure at that time it was just an idea. But what do you know. Tiesto pulls through again. The best DJ in the world, touring the US in search of the wildest school. Found this song today and i am LOVING it. I am a huge fan of vocal-electronic. Anything with a sick vocal and a huge drop is what i aim for and this has it all. This song isn't that new, but i found it a while ago. I have always had an interest in The Beatles, mostly because of my dad. So when i saw these i had to pick them up. The first song is a totally new remix of A Day In The Life off their Sergent Peppers and The Lonley Heart's Club Band which was released in the 60's. Here's a newer song. Completely different from the last one. This song was put together while Laws and Paul McCartney were in a Sony studio writing down piano and guitar riffs. Never was, never will be a fan of Trae Tha Truth but this song caught me for the beat, and the featured artists. This is one of those songs where you can pick out who makes it and breaks it. For instance, Wiz MAKES the song but on the other hand, Wale...not so much. I don't know, maybe it's just me but this song was good and bad for me. Lazy Rich cleans up the club again with "Better Wipe That Up". CRAZY electro-house song. I played this one once and how i can't get it out of my head. So far from what i have seen some Lazy Rich, i have't been disappointed by anything. All of his songs give you that full deep; electro-house feel which i love. Reminds me of an episode of TCL. I love Klass. Two years ago when i heard his remix of Roller Head i was hooked. I thought his sounds and the way he cut his remixes was sick. I liked everything about his style. He went away on me for a bit, and i only had a few of his underground stuff but now we have something new. He throws out "I'm Free" which is remixed by the ever so famous Remady. Ill be honest. Thing song isn't new. And yes...TBH has been loafting on a new post. Believe it or not this one was supposed to be put up last week (with about 50 others) but fuck, it's the first week of summer and Jack and I are thriving. Anyways, Gravitron by Van O. So much to say about this song. First of all, this song is one of many with this distincts Van-O groove and beat. I think the main reason i like this song so much is because that its basically one in a million. I've never heard a song like this one and the chances are i wont again. However, give it a listen and a download and you'll be jamming out just like i am.

I can't promise that this song is within a few weeks old. Or months. It's nothing new but i can promise that very little have heard this. I have some work from the Freestyler's and it is decent stuff but this one stands out. I'm not sure how Flux ended up with this remix. The original is totally different, very annoying and i would say its really not that good. But Flux does it up real nice. It's different from many of the other electronic (or borderline dubstep) songs that i have in my library, which is ultimately why i like it so much. Give her a look.

So its safe to say that essential mixes should be a household item by now in everyone's library's. When i heard Sonny Moore (Skrillex) had his own, i was THRIVING. Well first, it's on BBC Radio One. Listen up, if you're going to listen to essentials, it MUST be on BBC Radio One. Pete Tong always plays the best essential mixes and always has the best interviews. Secondly, most of this mix consists of actual Skrillex remixes which is nice because we usually don't see that much by an artist on his or her own mix. Good line-up of Hip-Hop. Asher throws a new track featuring Quan which shows a new side of Asher Roth. He seems more chill now, rhyming about important real life shit. Not much to say though about it so give it a listen and see what you think.

Alright now G-Eazy is a new name to me but KAM Royal isn't. So when i saw this song i was automatically attracted to KAM which lead me to checking out this track. I love it. I have no clue who G-Eazy is, where he's from or even who he raps with. I certainly like this song for the beat and for the samples in the background. I 100% recommend this song to everyone, even if they aren't too sure about it. Listen to it, it will click.

Last but not least. A weird, strange and new type of music to me. Sublime drops a track with Wiz Khalifa. I know, weird as hell. Never would have expected it. I'm not too sure about this song. I mean, its a reggae song no doubt but i just don't know if i'm sold on this duo. I guess the songs not bad, but this was put up more for you guys to check out. I'm going to try and keep this post short, but after all...it is Adventure Club. I have heard my fair share of remixes. Good and Bad. I have also heard TONS of artists and you can tell the ones who know what they're doing and the ones who don't. Adventure Club knows what the fuck is good. Here they are dropping another remix of a no-name song. I haven't heard the original but i know it probably sounded nothing like this. Needless to say AC has changed the way people look at dub-remixes. Take a good look at this one. Upon release of his new EP, he launched a music video for Rock n Roll which feautures clips from his every day adventure. I think its sick how he lives. It's sweet to see all the people he was with. Deadmau5 was what grabbed my attention. "The Boys" are going to appreciate this one.
Secondly, Skrillex dropped a new remix!! This time of Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction" off his most recent album "More Malice." I've been thriving this song especially around 3:00, Snoop throws a sick verse. Check it out.

A few weeks ago TBH gave oyu the preview of Skrillex's remix of promises. It's finally here! If you haven't heard the original you can check it out in our previous post Here. I think this remix is unreal. The original was amazing to begin with and the moment i heard Skrillex was going to do a cover, i buckled down and waited. Good set of electronic sound. Not a whole lot to say about this one. You'll find a remix of Skrillex's "Ruffneck" which is pretty sweet. Not sure why it wasn't on MMNS though! The rest is some pretty hardcore music. Another big one from KDrew who i am really starting to like! Take a look at "Freeze." A new artist to me but i am really liking their stuff. I like the melody and how the song has some background-life almost. Really impressed and ready for more!

This song should be added to every jam playlist in Oakville.

Trap music eh? This ones for Daniel Ohorodnyk who got TBH a few more likes on our Facebook Page. He asked me to do a special on Jeezy so I did. Now, i used to listen to him about 3 years ago as i was getting into the rap music world. I liked his stuff because at the time i thought rap should be about gangs and crime but i was wrong. However Jeezy has payed his dues in the industry and i still give him the respect that he has now. I wanted to base this "TBH On" around his older stuff. For two reasons. One, I have a whole collection of his old stuff on my library. And two, from what i have heard of his recent stuff...it's nothing special. Jeezy is a rapper where his older stuff if his better stuff. Much like Weezy and even T.I. Anyways, this playlist shows his depth and his history. This is personally my favourite tracks by him. There's a first for everything. I picked this song up today and honestly, i'm not too sure if i like it. I Love Skrillex, and Diplo has sick sound but i'm not sure if i would have mixed the two. I put this track up to show you guys and to see how you felt about it. I guess you have to be into mad hard core or DNB for this one. Maybe it will grow on me but for now i'm not sold.
Here we have a good collection of Hip-Hop by some pretty big names. Starting with Boss by Wiz. This is such a sick song. It's a newer style of rap for Wiz, almost reminds me of Tony Yayo (lol). Sick song to blare though. Hard, deep bass and sick synth. Huge hit by Wiz, let's see what hes got next.

Ok, this song is incredible. Anything that Chiddy has been on recently has been sick! His album Peanut Butter And Swelly was insane and now he is following with some singles. Obviously having Big Sean, Wiz and Chiddy on a track is clutch. If you want a real treat, check out Wiz's verse. Classic.
Last year, my main man Daniel Cubric showed me Pheonix. An alternative rock band out of Versailles, France. Danny had me thriving. From there i downloaded Wolfgang Amadeus which was one of their mainstream albums and from then on i couldn't stop playing it. Over about the past 2 months i have found remixes for a few of their songs. Safe to say that they aren't anything like the originals which is ok but they are still good to listen to. So this post is for Danny. Love you bud.
This song it jokes. I hated it to begin with, i thought it was so annoying and pointless but after i had it on in the background for a bit...i was thriving! I can picture this song at a lot of summer jams. The fact that its catchy is helpful. Give it a listen and lets see what you think. And tell me this video doesn't remind you of Bromance!!!
So Stephan Jacobs is definitely one of my favorite new up and comer Dubstep producers. Him and Nit Grit, an even heavier producer, came together to make this pizza party EP and i have to say I'm impressed. Their Metric remix came out a couple months ago and they added on two new songs which i think are just as good. they both have pretty unique sounds and they sound even sicker together. Enjoy.
